My Background
Personal Profile
Hi, I'm Alice. Originally from Australia, I now live in the midlands with my husband and two children, a girl who is 10 and a boy who is 4. We live in a small village in Northamptonshire and are very fortunate to have access to such lovely countryside.
I love arts and crafts, reading, travelling, being by the seaside or walking through woodlands, listening to people's stories, and making a positive difference to the world, in any little way that I can.
I am also passionate about psychology and helping young people thrive. For over 15 years I worked as a psychologist within local authorities, as an educational psychologist, and the private sector, for Looked After Children / Children in Care. I loved my job and never imagined leaving it, but personal circumstances meant that I could no longer continue to work in such an emotionally demanding environment.
So... in 2023, I embarked on a career change journey. I started a course in Digital Marketing through The Skills Network, which is documented in my blog. I completed some courses through Code First Girls and other coding websites (e.g., Free Code Camp), and in September, I will be starting a Masters in Data Science.
