This week was a busy one! I flew out to see my family in Portugal on the 9th and had my live Skills Bootcamp session on the 11th where we were not only adding another tool to our toolkit - Canva - but also creating a new website for our ever developing digital marketing services - exciting and stressful all at the same time!
I'll start with Canva, as I managed to finish that task!! Having used Canva to develop marketing materials for my private practice, I was familiar with the tool and found my way around it quite easily.
We were tasked with creating a promotional poster for the lovely Hillside Hoppers Community Charity Walking Group, and I'm quite pleased to share it with you below. I'm confident that I fulfilled the brief we were given and am happy with the clean / simple design I chose, which should hopefully print well and add enough colour to attract people to read it.

Next we started to work on a new website to sell our newly acquired and developing week on week digital marketing skills. This task is not quite ready to share as having built websites on Wix before, I wanted to set myself a challenge, so have opted to build it on WordPress!
According to W3Tech over 43% of all websites are built using WordPress, compared to only 2.5% built with Wix. So I feel it is a useful tool to add to my toolbox and especially liked the freedom to be able to choose a UK based sustainable hosting provider for my website...
Don't forget to check back next week when I will be revealing where I'm at with my new business website!
