Hello and welcome back to my blog.

This week in my digital marketing skills bootcamp we were working on finishing our promotional videos for the Hillside Hoppers walking group. You can watch my completed video below.

I'm pleased with how it's come out and had a lovely time creating it on Canva. I think given how much I enjoy creating visual content, this will definitely be one of my focus areas for Tech 4 Psychs.

After completing the video, we were able to create posts for the Hillside Hoppers' social media channels, thinking about copy, hashtags and tagging the appropriate organisations to the posts.

You can see my post for Facebook here, and Instagram here.

In the taught element of the course we were discussing the legal aspects and responsibilities when posting content online, even if it is on our own personal profile. We discussed cases where people had lost their employment due to offensive content they posted online.

We discussed both the right to freedom of speech as well as the damage to reputation and financial consequences of that, which can result from employees posting offensive content online where potential clients may be able to read it.

We also discussed the right to privacy and whether it was naive to think that things posted in our own personal social media channels was truly private or whether it should be free from scrutiny.

That's it for this week. Do check back next week to follow my journey.
