Week 8: Working on our own projects, SEO, analytics and the sort of marketer I want to be like

This week we were focusing on our own projects. I have been working hard on my WordPress skills and am pleased to share my landing page created with Elementor Page Builder and Astra Theme (both using the free versions - yes, it is possible!).

I'm also currently working with a Virtual Assistant to develop a brand and website for her business. More details to follow, so do check back again to see what I'm working on next.

In the taught element of the course, we are learning about SEO and inbound content marketing. We have been looking at a range of tools including Semrush and Google Analytics.

It has made me start thinking about the sort of marketer that I want to be like. Being a psychologist is very much part of my identity and I really identify with the values that we adhere to as part of our Code of Ethics and Conduct, which are:

• respect

• competence

• responsibility

• integrity

Being ethical and having integrity in what I do is very important to me and is something that I want to bring to my marketing and business. Privacy should be a right and not an option, and so for this reason, I will be looking at alternatives to Google Analytics when it comes to building my actual website for Tech 4 Psychs.
